Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Shiraz is the CEO of ITAZ Technologies which he founded in 1999. With over 17 years of experience in the software industry, Shiraz is responsible for setting the overall direction and product strategy for the company. Prior to founding ITAZ, Shiraz co-founded two companies which provided outsource software development services to companies around the world.

Amar Gada
Chief Operating Officer
Amar Gada is the Chief Operating Officer at ITAZ Technologies. He oversees ITAZ’s business operations including human resources. Amar has been with ITAZ since 1999 when as part of the development team he oversaw the building of a Traffic Management System for MTV India.

Our History

ITAZ was founded in 1999 to build software products for information management. While working on building our own products, we also built custom software solutions for customers around the world. After testing the waters with a few small products, we launched our flagship document management software product-‘doQuments’ in 2001. doQuments proved to be a great success for us quickly garnering clients such as the US Food and Drug Administration and the Westpac Bank in New Zealand.

After the success of doQuments, the company decided to focus full time on the document management software business and slowly stopped the custom software development business. After we released version 4 of doQuments, we decided to completely rewrite the application based on all the feedback we had received from customers around the world. Such a rewrite of a stable product is normally considered a very big risk but we decided to take the plunge and go ahead. After two nerve wrecking years we produced the new completely redesigned version 5 of the product. With the launch of version 5, we decided to discontinue the doQuments brand and started selling the software under the GLOBODOX and SOHODOX brands. SOHODOX was aimed at the Small Office Home Office (SOHO) user while GLOBODOX was aimed at the medium to large enterprises.

Both SOHODOX and GLOBODOX turned out to be a huge success for us. ITAZ started growing like never before! Today we have thousands of customers in 50+ countries and are continuing to grow at a healthy pace.

Our Industry

Businesses today are clear that information trapped in paper documents needs to be made more accessible via digitization. This not only makes a business more efficient, but it also goes a long way in minimizing its environmental impact. However that is only part of the story.

A massive amount of documents today are being directly created in electronic form. Most businesses today must deal with a distributed and mobile workforce which demands access to all these documents on the go.

The solution clearly is a single system that is flexible enough to capture and manage paper based as well as electronic documents. This system must have the tools to organize all these documents, secure them, and allow users to share them in a controlled manner.

The solution must be able to track each document from the time of it’s creation and as it moves through the organization as part of a business process. The solution must also ensure that the document is archived or destroyed when it is no longer required.
We think the challenge for the document management industry is to build solutions that deliver all this and yet remain simple to use, flexible and affordable.

Our Markets

Our products today are used by thousands of customers in over 50 countries. Traditionally our primary markets have been US, Canada and Western Europe. Our customer base in these countries continues to grow. At the same time we are making rapid inroads into markets such as the Far East, the Middle East, Australia and Africa.
