doQuments Upgrade Setup Instructions

Please follow the setup instructions given to upgrade your copy of doQuments on your computer.

For users of Standard & Professional Edition:
  1. Make sure all copies of doQuments are closed.
  2. Run the doQuments upgrade setup.
  3. After the setup is complete run doQuments.
  4. You may be prompted to upgrade the 'settings.dqs' file. Click the Yes button to proceed with the upgrade of the 'settings.dqs' file.

For users of Enterprise Edition:

Users who are upgrading from versions earlier than 3.2 will have to replace doQuments Authentication Server with doQuments Security Manager. For a step-by-step instruction to switch from doQuments Authentication Server to doQuments Security Manager, click here.

Users who are upgrading from versions 3.2 or later can continue with the steps given below.
  1. Make sure your have upgraded to the latest version of doQuments Security Manager as per instructions provided here.
  2. Make sure doQuments Security Manager is not running.
  3. Run the doQuments upgrade setup.
  4. Install in the same folder in which doQuments is currently installed
    ( this is usually the c:\Program Files\doQuments folder )
  5. After the setup is complete run doQuments.
  6. You may be prompted to upgrade the 'settings.dqs' file. Click the Yes button to proceed with the upgrade of the 'settings.dqs' file.
  7. You will now be prompted to login to doQuments.
  8. Login with your user name and password.
