doQuments Web Client - Setup Instructions - Scenario 1

Please follow the setup instructions given below if the doQuments Security Manager and the doQuments DBs exist on the same machine on which you wish to install doQuments Web Client.

1. Requirements
   doQuments Security Manager must be installed on the web server machine (the machine on which you will be installing doQuments Web Client) and run at least once. The doQuments DBs must also exist on the same machine.
2. Install doQuments Web Client
   Run the dqwebsetup.exe file. The instructions below assume that doQuments Web Client is installed in the folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot\doquments.
3. Post-install configuration
   Configure the Internet Information Server after you install doQuments Web Client. Click here for instructions
4. Set folder permissions
   
   • Assign the Read and Write permissions on the folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot\doquments to the IUSR_<MachineName> user. Click here to know how to set folder permissions
   • Assign the Modify, Read and Write permissions on the folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot\doquments\uploads to the IUSR_<MachineName> user. Click here to know how to set folder permissions
   • Assign the Read and Write permissions on the folder C:\Program Files\doQuments Security Manager to the IUSR_<MachineName> user. Click here to know how to set folder permissions
   • Assign the Read and Write permissions on the folder C:\doQuments Databases to the IUSR_<MachineName> user. Click here to know how to set folder permissions
5. Launch doQuments Web Client
   Point your browser to the URL http://localhost/doquments
6. Configure doQuments Web Client
   The browser will now display the doQuments Security Database Location page. Click on the Browse... button and select a file called location.dqs from the folder in which doQuments Security Manager is installed (this is normally the C:\Program Files\doQuments Security Manager folder) and click on the Submit button.
   
7. Login to doQuments Web Client
   The doQuments Login Page will now be displayed. Login into doQuments Web Client by entering the user name as superadmin and the password as superadmin (the username and password are both set to superadmin in the evaluation version of doQuments).
8. Add a doQuments DB to the doQuments DB List
   The doQuments DB List page will now be displayed. Click the MS Access based doQuments DBs button and select any MS Access based doQuments DB (file with a .DQD extension) from your machine. The selected doQuments DBs will now be listed on the doQuments DB List page.
9. Open a doQuments DB
   On the doQuments DB List page click the name of the doQuments DB to open that doQuments DB.
