| 1. | If your machine is a stand alone machine and not part of a Local Area Network (LAN) select the This machine is a stand alone option.
If your machine is part of a Windows Workgroup select the This machine is a part of a workgroup option.
If your machine is part of a Windows 2000/2003 Domain select the This machine is a part of a domain option.
Click on the Next Button.

| 2. | Setup creates a Windows user account called IUSR_DOQUMENTS (if it does not already exist) to run doQuments Web Client.
In the Password box specify the password you want to use for this account (if the account already exists enter the password for the existing account).
Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password box.
Click on the Next Button.

| 3. | Specify the Folder where doQuments Security Manager is installed.
Click on the Next Button

| 4. | Setup can configure doQuments Web Client to use your existing doQuments Settings DB (a file called settings.dqs). The doQuments Settings DB contains the doQuments DB List. Pointing the doQuments Web Client to your doQuments Settings DB enables you to use the doQuments DB listed in it with the Web Client. You can point to a doQuments Settings DB which exists on the machine on which you are installing the Web client or a doQuments Settings DB which exists on some other machine on the network.
If you do not want to the Web Client to use an existing Settings DB, setup can install a new empty Settings DB. You can later manually add selected doQuments DBs to the Web Client's doQuments DB List.
Click on the Next Button

| 5. | Specify the folder where your doQuments DBs are located. Setup will try to automatically assign permissions to this folder. If your doQuments DBs are located in several different folders or machines, you can skip this step and manually assign permissions to those folders after setup completes (detailed instructions for this are provided in the Automatic Configuration - Post Install Tasks section of this manual).

| 6. | Specify the location where you want doQuments Web Client to be installed. Setup will suggest a location.
Click on the Next Button.

| 7. | A summary of your install options will be displayed. Click on the Install button.

| 8. | Once setup completes click on the Finish button to close the Setup window.
